    Current 2011, ITC jointly with the Women Entrepreneurs Association will launch the ACCESS! programme which will contribute to the business development services offered in the country by focusing on gender specific business needs to enhance the competitiveness of women owned enterprises in Africa with concrete business in the international market in order to increase the country's export base, enhance the women in the employment sector and ultimately create weath and personal development.

    uwealThe Uganda Women Entrepreneurs Association Limited (UWEAL), ACCESS! focal point institution in Uganda is a non governmental organization whose vision is to address gender disparities by enhancing and empowering the economic status of women in Uganda. With 850 members spread across the country, UWEAL is considered to be a one-stop facilitator for women entrepreneurs and women professionals. At the local level, UWEAL is actively linked to related institutions, such as the Ugandan Manufacturers Association (UMA), the Private Sector Foundation (PSFU), the Ugandan Small Scale Industries Association (USSIA), the Uganda National chamber of commerce and Industry (UNCCI, membership payment pending).
