    New Leather Industry Portal

    ITC has developed "Leatherline", a portal responding to the information needs of the leather sector worldwide, and particularly in developing countries.

    The portal is aimed at companies and associations in the leather sector. Users will find, free of charge:

    • business contacts, enabling them to promote their company and find useful partners;
    • technical guidelines on improving production and marketing processes, such as types of and standards for export packaging;
    • links to professional and industry organizations providing trade services;
    • information on events and people, including a calendar of what to attend and where to find technical expertise;
    • a marketplace with offers and demands;
    • an interactive forum (forthcoming);
    • market trends, such as worldwide trade flows and market information;
    • sources of market access data on trade rules, tariffs, quality, environment, etc.; and
    • links to other information sources.
    ITC invites firms and associations to register with Leatherline now.
