ITC is upgrading its flagship event, the Executive Forum on National Export Strategies, to reflect the leadership position that ITC has achieved in export development and export competitiveness - an area that ITC intends to reinforce and expand.

The event will now be named the World Export Development Forum.

A unique global forum dedicated to the exchange of best practice and innovative approaches to export development and competitiveness, the World Export Development Forum brings together senior decision-makers in government, the trade support network and the business community in developing countries and economies in transition. It challenges conventional approaches and showcases strategic responses.

    A dynamic export development agenda

The World Export Development Forum 2007 global debate will focus on the theme "Bringing Down the Barriers: Charting a Dynamic Export Development Agenda". It will be held from 8 to 11 October in Montreux, Switzerland.

    New features

New features will include participation of renowned leaders and practitioners in the debate and hands-on activities such as technical assistance round tables, brainstorming workshops and partnering meetings.

Event facilities will be upgraded in both size and quality to meet growing demand for participation and provide a better overall experience for all participants.
