The Turkish Exporters Assembly is embarking on a two-year training project to train SME export advisers in management, exports and applying information and communications technology to trade. Applying ITC's Business Management System, the project will train master trainers and trade advisers, and deliver pilot programmes in international competitiveness for the managers of Turkish exporting firms. The first workshop was held in Istanbul in February and three more workshops are planned in 2004.

This programme builds on an earlier project with the Export Promotion Center for Turkey (IGEME), which trained 40 trade advisers.
